iPhone 15: Everything we know so far

iPhone 15 review: Apple’s latest leap in innovation

The iPhone 15, set to launch on September 22, 2023, brings a new wave of innovation to Apple’s smartphone lineup. While it retains some design elements from its predecessor, the iPhone 14, it introduces several exciting features and improvements, making it a compelling choice for upgraders.

What makes it that best?

⦿ Design and Display

The iPhone 15 maintains a similar design to the iPhone 14, with a few subtle refinements. Notably, the aluminum frame now features a slight curve on one edge, enhancing comfort and grip. The back glass is a single piece, including the camera bump, to facilitate easier repairs.

In terms of display, the iPhone 15 comes in two sizes: 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch. These Super Retina XDR displays offer a stunning 460ppi (pixels per inch) and support HDR, True Tone, and the P3 color gamut. The OLED screens provide a remarkable 2 million to 1 contrast ratio and reach 800 nits of brightness under normal use conditions.

⦿ Cameras

Apple has upgraded the Main Camera on the iPhone 15, previously known as the Wide Camera. It now boasts a larger 48MP sensor with a wider f/1.5 aperture, resulting in higher-quality photos and enhanced low-light performance. Apple claims a 49% improvement in low-light photography with this upgrade.

The Ultra Wide Camera remains unchanged, and there’s no mention of the macro photography feature for non-pro models. However, the selfie camera has received improvements, featuring an f/1.9 aperture and autofocus. Combined with depth sensors used for Face ID, this enhances selfie quality and speed.

Users can now enjoy 4K recording in Cinematic Mode, with the option to select 30fps or 24fps, taking full advantage of the enhanced camera performance.

⦿ Emergency SOS via Satellite

One standout feature of the iPhone 15 is Emergency SOS via satellite. Apple has developed special antennas and equipment that allow the iPhone 15 to connect to a satellite, even miles above the Earth’s surface. While primarily designed for emergency situations, users can also use it to share their location in the wilderness with friends and family.

The feature guides users on pointing the iPhone in the right direction to achieve the best satellite signal. Messages sent via satellite may take anywhere from 15 seconds to several minutes to relay. This feature, launched in November 2022, will remain free until late 2024.

 ⦿ Crash Detection

The iPhone 15 lineup, along with select Apple Watch models, introduces Crash Detection. This feature utilizes purpose-built sensors and advanced algorithms to detect severe car crashes. In case of a crash, the iPhone or Apple Watch will automatically contact emergency services. Users also have the option to alert emergency contacts.

The system relies on sensors such as a high dynamic range gyroscope, high g-force accelerometer, barometer, GPS, microphone, and advanced motion algorithms to determine crash severity and type. It’s important to note that minor collisions won’t trigger Crash Detection.

 ⦿ Ports and Battery Life

The Lightning port remains on the iPhone 15, dispelling rumors of a USB-C transition. Charging speed remains at 20W, and Apple claims improved battery life. The 6.1-inch iPhone 15 is rated for up to 20 hours of normal use, while the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus boasts a remarkable battery life of up to 26 hours video plaback.

Both models support fast charging, with a 20W charger providing a 50% charge in approximately 30 minutes. MagSafe accessories and charging continue to be supported, with magnets aligning products to the center of the iPhone.

 ⦿ Processor, Biometrics, and Wireless

The iPhone 15 is equipped with the A16 Bionic chip, while the Pro models use the A15 Bionic. This chip features a 6-core CPU with 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, as well as a 15-core Neural Engine for advanced machine learning tasks. A 5-core GPU enhances processing in various apps and across the system.

Face ID remains unchanged, housed behind the same-sized notch as the iPhone 14. However, iOS 17 allows users to unlock the iPhone 15 in portrait or landscape orientation.

While WiFi connectivity, 5G, and the U1 chip haven’t seen updates, the iPhone 15 incorporates Bluetooth 5.3. This improved wireless standard enhances compatibility with accessories such as the AirPods Pro 2.

⦿ iPhone 15 Pricing and Availability
  •

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be available in muted color options (Yellow, Black, Pink, Blue,Green), and storage configurations include 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Wireless carriers are expected to offer incentives and promotions, potentially reducing the upfront cost of the devices.

The iPhone 15 starts at $1,299, while the larger iPhone 15 Plus starts at $1,449. Both models are set to launch on September 22, 2023, offering consumers a range of choices and innovative features to explore.

As we eagerly await the release of the iPhone 15, Apple continues to push the boundaries of smartphone technology, delivering improvements in camera capabilities, emergency features, and overall user experience.

Best gaming laptop in 2022

The best gaming laptop of 2022 is the Asus ROG Zephyrus G15. Asus is the best in the business when it comes to gaming laptops.

The best gaming laptop changes a lot throughout the year. The best gaming laptop serves up performance and portability in one perfectly proportioned package!! Manufacturers are finally putting powerful specs in thin gaming machines: sleeker, more portable, and more professional builds. The newest gaming laptops have improved portability, while still sporting all the fancy features of high-end gaming PCs.

Gaming laptops are getting better screens as well. A growing number of manufacturers are releasing configurations with 1440p displays, even in gaming laptops under $2,000. These options can hit a sweet spot for many gamers: a better experience than 1080p without the price premium or raw horsepower required for a 4K display. You can expect decently high refresh rates from these panels as well, depending on the model.

The Zephyrus G15 comes in two colour variants – Eclipse Grey or Moonlight White. The Moonlight White will be an instant winner amongst its consumers. It’s got a striking appeal that isn’t too flashy. It’s bold but unassuming. It’s an all-white design that is spiced up with a backlit keyboard. The keys may be all-white but they have RGB lighting to provide some spark. The a keyboard has 1.7mm travel distance and a “silent typing experience”.

The G15 averaged 178fps on CS:GO at maximum settings, also at maximum settings, averaged 58fps. More over the G15 is running these at QHD resolution, which is already a bigger haul than traditional 1080p.

Those frame rates mean you should be able to run whatever game you want in QHD without bumping down any settings. They put the G15 about on par with MSI’s GS66 Stealth with an Intel Core i7-10870H and a GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q — the two laptops tied on Red Dead and were just one frame apart on Tomb Raider.

The games all looked great on this screen, which covers 100 percent of the sRGB gamut and 89 percent of AdobeRGB, and maxes out at 334 nits of brightness.

One more thing to keep in mind with gaming laptops is the power you can expect. Not all chips with the same name are created equal — the RTX 3070 in one laptop may not deliver the same frame rates as the RTX 3070 in another laptop due to its wattage (as well as other factors like the processor and cooling). Nvidia now requires companies to disclose clock speeds and graphics power on each model’s product page, but plenty of manufacturers haven’t done that yet.

For the gaming beast that the Zephyrus G15 is, we’ere thoroughly impressed by the battery life. The Zephyrus G15 packs a 90Whr battery pack and I got a solid 7 hours while performing normal day-to-day tasks. The result puts the G15 right up there with its smaller sibling as one of the longest-lasting gaming laptops we’ve ever seen. It has a large 90Wh battery inside, but plenty of gaming rigs with comparable bricks can only make it a few hours on a charge.

Whatever config you pick, we think the ROG Zephyrus G15 is the overall best gaming laptop on the market right now, though you will be paying a premium for the now-classic design.

The Best Gadgets for Men in 2022

Men undoubtedly love tech gadgets. Whether you are looking for an awesome birthday gift or a treat for yourself, splashing out on the latest tech-gadgetry is almost sure to please.

Today’s best new tech innovations do much more than their intended function. They add a layer of convenience and buy back time we used to spend waiting. They keep us on track and productive. Safer, better connected, more entertained & informed—whatever the product’s promise—if it’s legit, we are hooked. And these products become essentials.

Here is the best gadget for men today-

Fitbit Sense

There’s a fitness tracker for every activity level and lifestyle, but the Fitbit Sense smartwatch really ups the ante in the fitness tracker category. It has the same features as most fitness trackers on the market (think heart rate tracking, physical activity monitoring, etc.), helping you keep tabs on your workouts and stay on track with those New Year’s Goals. But the Fitbit Sense smartwatch is more than a personal trainer on your wrist. It also monitors your sleep cycles and helps you stay in tune with your mental health by measuring your stress levels. That’s why we took the time to review the Fitbit Sense’s features and stats, so you can determine if this tracker is right for you.

What makes it that best?

⦿ Materials

Made from a stainless-steel frame, Gorilla Glass 3 display, and innovative bisensor core, the Fitbit Sense is built to last. The underside of the watch (that sits on your wrist) is made of aluminum.

⦿ Dimensions

The watch screen measures 1.59-inches (3.8 cm.) across and .49-inches (1.24 cm.) thick. The small band fits wrists 5.5-inches to 7.1-inches (14-18 cm.) in circumference. The large band fits wrist sizes ranging from 7.1- to 8.7-inches (18-22.1 cm) in circumference.

⦿ Design

The rounded-square touchscreen is similar to a smartphone where you can swipe intuitively to access apps, metrics, and tools. The left side of the watch has an indent that functions as a haptic button, which means it uses vibrations to communicate. One press turns the watch screen on and a double press brings up shortcuts. You can customize a long-press to invoke Alexa, timers, tools, and other functions.

The watch comes in three color and style options: Sage grey band with a silver stainless steel frame; Carbon/graphite band with a stainless-steel frame; and a Lunar white band with a soft gold stainless steel frame. Additional bands can be purchased separately, including vegan leather, silicone, nylon, steel, and sports options.

⦿ Metrics

he Fitbit Sense is equipped to track a multitude of metrics, providing you with detailed insight on your overall well-being. Some metrics like your heart rate will track automatically, while others you can enter manually. A few standout metrics include: All four sleep stages (awake, light sleep, deep sleep, and REM) with a subsequent sleep score, breathing rate, steps taken, floors climbed, menstrual cycle tracker, food and water intake, oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring, skin temperature sensor, stress management, active zone minutes and calories burned.

Now that we’ve gotten some of the basics out of the way, let’s break down the details and see if this fitness tracker makes sense for you.

Fitness tracking:

    • Great choice of workout options

    • Good for heart rate zone training

    • On-board GPS and Strava support

The Sense also tracks blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) as you sleep, which can help you spot signs of conditions such as sleep apnea, in which you stop breathing periodically during the night, resulting in disturbed sleep and fatigue in the morning. You will need to activate the sensor manually in your device’s settings, and bear in in mind that doing so will cause the battery to drain a little faster.

The Sense works with Android and iOS and the experience is consistent across ecosystems, with the exception of not being able to respond to text messages from the watch when you’re on iOS. There’s a microphone and speaker onboard so you can now take quick calls from your wrist with your phone nearby. You can also switch the call back and forth between your phone and the watch, which is a nice touch. The speaker sounds fine for a quick call, but we wouldn’t want to use it for any lengthy conversations. If you have an Android phone, you’ll also be able to use dictation or voice-to-text to respond to messages.

Finally, if you’re on a budget, the £98.84 Fitbit Inspire 2 is the ultimate entry-level activity band and the best Fitbit for you. For a third of the cost of the company’s smartwatches, Fitbit Sense is the perfect Gadgets gift for you!

The Best Electric SUVs for 2022

Electric cars and SUVs continue to rise in popularity, inevitably meaning more and more carmakers are combining the two and launching electric SUVs. This makes a lot of practical sense as well as commercial sense, since the increased height and other expanded dimensions of 4×4 and crossover vehicles make it easier to accommodate batteries. But with so much choice, which are the best electric SUVs?

The choice of electric SUVs on the market is ever-increasing, with all sorts of car manufacturers due to get in on the EV SUV act over the next few years. We’ve taken a look at the best 5 electric SUVs on sale right now. All of these cars are significantly cleaner than their combustion-powered counterparts, and as national energy supplies become less and less dependent on fossil fuels, the gap will continue to grow. There are, however, other benefits to EVs such as quieter powertrains, smooth power delivery, and excellent performance.

Top 5 best electric SUVs UK 2022

⦿ Tesla Model Y

The Tesla Model Y is a battery electric compact crossover manufactured by Tesla, Inc. Tesla unveiled it in March 2019, started production at its Fremont plant in January 2020, and started deliveries on March 13, 2020.

Tesla’s Model 3 hatchback is the US firm’s best-selling car in the UK, and it’s not hard to see why when you consider its competitive pricing, exceptional range, and great onboard technology. But, with the Model S saloon and Model X seven-seater SUV occupying the (much) more expensive top-end of the Tesla range, there is a definite niche waiting to be filled in the manufacturer’s all-electric lineup.

Priced from around £55,000, the all-wheel-drive Model Y will go head-to-head with the Audi Q4 e-Tron, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Mercedes EQA, and Volkswagen ID.4, although all of these rivals offer cheaper entry prices to their respective ranges than the Model Y.

⦿ Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is still one of our favorite electric SUVs. The Ioniq 5 offers a great balance of performance and range while charging speeds are among the best in class.

The Hyundai Ioniq is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by Hyundai. It is the first product to be marketed under the electric cars-focused Ioniq sub-brand, and the first model developed on the Hyundai Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It was revealed globally on 23 February 2021.

The Ioniq 5 comes with one of two battery packs: a 58-kWh pack (delayed availability) or a 77.4-kWh pack. The smaller battery pack will serve as the base model for the Ioniq 5 range, and it comes with one electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Ioniq 5 models with the larger battery come with either rear-wheel drive or an additional motor up front that gives the vehicle all-wheel drive.

Priced from around £36,781 to £48,746, Hyundai claims it designed the rear window in such a way that when traveling at high speed the airflow would remove any rainwater. But when maneuvering or reversing, you do miss a wiper to help you see out the back. The Ioniq 5 is a spacious, well-equipped, and stylish EV that is nigh-on perfect for any family looking to make the switch to an electric car.

⦿ Genesis GV60

The Genesis GV60 is a battery electric compact luxury crossover SUV produced by Genesis, a luxury vehicle marque of Hyundai. Slotted below the GV70, it is the first Genesis product to be developed on the Hyundai Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

Genesis unveiled the GV60 on 19 August, it was released globally on 30th September 2021. Codenamed JW during development, the vehicle sits on a dedicated EV platform shared by the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. Powertrain details include a single-motor application for lower trim levels as well as a dual-motor all-wheel-drive model

Genesis couldn’t have picked a more competitive section of the electric vehicle (EV) market to try to break into, though. Why? Well, the GV60’s size puts it up against some well-established electric SUV rivals, including the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Jaguar I-Pace, and the Volkswagen ID 4.

Priced from around £47,005, the luxury offshoot from Hyundai has been on a roll lately. Its lineup of SUVs and sedans has been garnering praise as the vehicles fully rival models from established German luxury brands. Now it’s time to delve into the electric vehicle market, and its first entry, the 2023 Genesis GV60, represents a very solid start.

⦿ Jaguar i-Pace

The Jaguar I-Pace was designed by Ian Callum. The concept version of the car, described as a five-seater sports car, was unveiled by JLR at the 2016 Los Angeles Motor Show and shown on-road in London in March 2017.

As an electric, five-seat SUV, the Jaguar I-Pace has a tricky brief to fill. After all, some people like their Jaguars to be smooth, quiet limousines, whereas others want their Jag to be rapid, with the growl of a large performance engine. Preferably V8.

The I-Pace is built by contract manufacturer Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, and the production version of the I-Pace was revealed in Graz on 1 March 2018.

Some of the electric drive technology has come out of the Jaguar I-Type electric Formula E racing car program, and the concentric motors were developed by JLR engineer Dr. Alex Michaelides.

Even with four passengers onboard and a boot full of luggage, the Jaguar I-Pace drives more like a sports car than a high-riding SUV. Its two electric motors drive the front and rear wheels kicking out 400hp, helping it accelerate from 0-60mph in a scorching 4.5 seconds. That’s faster than a Porsche Cayman sports car.

Plus, the Jaguar’s heavy batteries are tucked neatly under the floor which stops its tall body from leaning excessively in tight corners. The I-Pace is genuinely good fun to drive, with well-weighted steering and an eagerness to change direction.

The Jaguar I-PACE has an RRP range of £66,350 to £77,650. However, on carwow prices for a new Jaguar I-PACE start at £61,066 if paying cash or £786 if paying monthly – saving on average £4,497. The price of a used Jaguar I-PACE on carwow starts at £30,990.

⦿ Mercedes-Benz EQB

The final electric motor is Mercedes-Benz EQB, there are sexier-looking Mercedes electric SUVs – and much more expensive ones. But the Mercedes-Benz EQB does a niche job with superb aplomb.

The EQB is part of the EQ family, a range that will expand to include 10 new models by 2022. The Mercedes-Benz EQB is based on the Mercedes-Benz GLB. The EQB is available in both front-wheel drive and 4MATIC branded dual motor all-wheel drive configurations. The Mercedes EQB will be available in five and seven-seat layouts.

Pricing starts at £549.50 for the base EQB 300 4Matic model and £59,051.91 for the more powerful EQB 350 4Matic. Both have standard all-wheel drive (hence the 4Matic nomenclature) and will be available in base, Exclusive, and Pinnacle trim packages. The EQB might once have been considered a Tesla Model Y rival, but Tesla’s recent price increases mean the Mercedes now substantially undercuts the Model Y in price.

Of course, not every family can afford a £100k+ Model X Plaid, and some would rather enjoy a few more creature comforts than what is, basically, a van, so the EQB has the potential to be a big seller.

When you next buy a new car, remember we can help you save thousands off the list price if you more in our blog about which is the lowest price Car. here It’s a great place to find the best articles about electric SUV deal.

The new iPhone 14: why you need to upgrade now.

The new iPhone 14 and 14 Pro are finally here, and they’re packed with features that we’ve been dying to see. While we’ll have to wait for the full reviews to come in before we can make a final judgement, we’ve already gotten our hands on the technical sheets, tools and other documentation from Apple. Here’s what we’ve learned so far:

As expected, the base iPhone 14 comes with a larger 6.7-inch model, called the iPhone 14 Plus.
This larger iPhone will also have the advantage of offering greater autonomy.

⦿ THE PRICE OF THE IPHONE 14

The iPhone 14 costs $799 and the top-of-the-line Pro and Pro Max models boast the largest share of new features and technologies, but with more expensive prices, with the iPhone 14 Pro priced at $999, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max at $1,099.

The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max with 128 GB of internal memory are now being sold at the promotional price of just $1,317  and $1,44, respectively. Meanwhile, the most advanced version with 1 TB capacity of 14 Pro is $1,997 and 14 Pro Max is $2,124. So don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to own one of the most powerful smartphones on the market today!

The new iPhone 14 and 14 Pro come with a brand new A14 Bionic chip that is said to be up to 50% faster than the previous generation. The cameras have also been upgraded with a new sensor that promises better low-light performance and sharper images. And finally, Apple has added a new color to the lineup: Pacific Blue.

Many experts say that Apple has a very clever design with the front “rabbit ears”, which turns the static black cluster into a “Dynamic Island”. This makes the iPhone stand out from previous models and is something users want to own.

The new acceleration sensor on the iPhone is designed to measure up to 256 g, which can help it detect accidents. The g-force refers to loads that are caused by strong variations in size and/or velocity direction. For example, 1 g (1 g = 9.81 m/s²) is the daily acceleration you feel on Earth due to gravity. When Max Verstappen collided with Lewis Hamilton during the last Formula 1 season at the British Grand Prix, 51 g acted on the pilot.

However, the iPhone doesn’t just measure g-forces; it also changes air pressure through the gyroscope. This is how it can effectively detect an accident and avoid false alarms. The smartphone can also recognize loud noises from accidents. For this purpose, new algorithms have been developed by Apple.

The iPhone’s satellite connection is, for the moment, very limited. As rumors claimed, the iPhone now has a satellite connection. Apple has partnered with Globalstar, this American company that owns a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit.

95% of Globalstar’s network is dedicated to Apple, an investment of more than $450 million from Apple. It is a function that is only used in case of emergency, to send a message to a call center, but also for the Locate function if you lose your iPhone. This will be available on all iPhone 14s, but only accessible in the United States and Canada. The feature should only be made available with an iOS 16 update due in November. In addition, it will be operational for foreign tourists traveling in North America.

The new iPhone 14 series is the first time Apple has completely removed the physical SIM slot from its phones, ending the popular iPhone over the world due to its low price. This change will make it much easier to use a paired SIM, without any of the previous limitations such as a weak signal, slow network connection, and increased battery consumption. According to experts, slowly but surely, Apple will begin to phase out the standard SIM slot in favor of eSIM. At the event, the representative of this company pointed out the many advantages of eSIM, such as safety, security, and difficulty in being stolen. Along with that, removing the SIM slot also helps the phone optimize the space for arranging components, minimizing the possibility of water entering the slot. Apple is not the only company that has switched to eSIMs. In the past, Google has also used this technology in its Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 devices. This may be a sign that in the near future, eSIM will become the new standard for all smartphones.
